Book Release Party at The Alibi Tiki Dive Bar Recap!
I was incredibly moved by those dear friends and family that came out to The Alibi tiki dive bar last week on Thursday April 27, 2023 to celebrate the publication of my first book, Falling Out of Love with My Career. We had great food and fun and frou-frou drinks and my cheeks hurt the next morning from smiling so much.
I loved hearing about how the book resonates with people in their own lives (interestingly, none of whom work in healthcare!) I am delighted to see the broad appeal and the conversations it starts.
That is EXACTLY what I hoped for – to get people thinking and talking about work and fulfillment, fears, and risk-taking, growing and pursuing dreams.
Big thanks to the lovely folks at The Alibi who were kind and supportive of this event. Especially Casey who kept us all in umbrella drink heaven.

Events and My Introverted Self
Being an introvert, events like my book release party are honestly exhausting for me! I needed a few days to rest, recharge, and recover my equilibrium. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t have an absolute blast! I can’t wait to do it again when my next book comes out, hopefully fall of 2023.
